Planted Beauty

Wellness beauty products have roots that dates back to over 3000 years ago. The Egyptians used anti-wrinkle creams made from essential oils of frankincense and creams made from grass and plant juice mixed with wax and  oil were created to keep the skin beautiful.Lactic Acid from cows or goats milk was believed to keep the skin clear because it has the effect of a skin peel.

Commercial creams first came on the market by women such as Harriet Hubbard Ayer, Lillie Langtry and Helena Rubinstein who marketed her mother’s home remedy recipes from her native Poland origins.

A beautiful face will go in and out of style...a beautiful complexion is always in style...

Many well-known medicines were discovered through plant extracts with over 250,000 species of plants!

One of the benefits of plant-based ingredients, both in medicine and natural skin care, is that your body automatically knows how to process them. The botanical garden is full of natural antioxidants and vitamins that can have truly miraculous health and skin benefits that achieve youthful healthy glowing complexions.

The "healthy-is-beautiful" trend started back in the ‘80's with the pale natural, healthy image enhanced by good food, workout gyms and Jane Fonda.
Wellness has grown to become a synonym of beauty. Consumers are looking to replicate spa experiences at home and many prefer to use homemade or as close to it wellness products.

Plant-based ingredients are rich in phyto-nutrients

Hibiscus: Has natural AHAs that act as a mild exfoliator to leave skin smooth, glowing & bright!
Ginkgo: Has natural antioxidants that prevent collagen and elastin from breaking.
Willowbark: Has salicylic acid that reduces the size of pores and improves blemishes. (I need this the most!)
Rosehip: Super nourishing, as it has natural Omega-3 and 6 oils that keep skin looking supple & healthy.
Vetiver: Nice & relieving for our skin! It has a natural aromatic scent that relaxes and relieves tension and insomnia. (Hello, you know I am an insomniac extraordinaire!)
Purple Orchid: Has natural sugars and polyphenols that help smooth and plump lines and wrinkles.
Marshmallow Calming!!! It has natural sugars and polyphenols that make skin less reactive.
Iceland Moss: It moisturizes, and has natural sugars that help calm and hydrate the skin. Especially good for those of us with dry skin.
Because the  beauty care product industry is unregulated many skin care products  may offer products with well-meant advertising slogans to fool you into believing the product is safe and reliable. Check your labels; the ingredients may contain toxins!
